Improving Quality of Life for Those with Asthma

Asthma is a growing public health problem, affecting 1 in 11 children in the U.S. Under the direction of Dr. Wanda Phipatanakul, the Asthma and Allergy Clinical Research Center at Boston Children’s Hospital is studying how treatments and environmental interventions can help participants reduce the severity of symptoms, suffer from fewer exacerbations, and improve overall quality of life. Wanting to recruit more participants for their studies, the ACRC reached out to us to redesign their existing website.

Participation with a Purpose

The goal of the new ACRC website was to highlight their current studies. We reorganized the website copy and created condensed overviews of each of the studies, highlighting purpose, eligibility requirements and compensation. We refreshed the website’s design by using bright colors and cheerful images, all while maintaining simplicity. We designed clear Call to Action forms using bold shapes and subtle animation to attract the viewer’s eye. These updates make it easy for potential participants to find more information on what they are signing up for and how to sign up.
